ArchitecTour virtuel: Montreal's first schools

Héritage Montréal is offering Héritage Montréal a little bonus to round off our 2020 season of ArchitecTours: a virtual tour of the first schools in Old Montreal.

Laure Barrachina, guide for Héritage Montréal and Acting Director of Programs and Activities), introduces you to the beginnings of architecture of knowledge in Montreal. From Marguerite Bourgeoys to the British and Canadian school, this tour traces the history of education and Quebec society between the 17th and 19th centuries.
