The Sainte-Anne congregation has been established in Lachine since 1861. In 2017, the religious congregation entrusted its mother house requalification project to the organization Bâtir son quartier, which specializes in social housing projects.
The project includes the conversion of the mother house into social housing, the construction of a new residence for the sisters and the development of units for the elderly. The green spaces and orchard located to the south and west of the site will be transferred to the community and will become a park for the citizens of Lachine.
