The history of Île Sainte-Hélène, home to one of Montreal's most emblematic monuments, the Biosphère, goes back more than 4,000 years! Kate Busch, a volunteer guide, will take you on a tour of Jean-Drapeau Park and the military installations found there.
Let us take this opportunity to mention that the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau and other partners, including Héritage Montréal currently Héritage Montréal to update the master plan for this important park, one of the first in the city.
Héritage Montréal particularly Héritage Montréal about the future of Place des Nations, an exceptional space and highly symbolic site of Expo 67, which has long been neglected. We hope that the ideation workshops we participated in will bear fruit and restore Place des Nations to its architectural integrity and give it new meaning, as promised by the City and the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau.
Finally, the entire Jean-Drapeau Park will soon be integrated as a priority site on our H-MTL platform.
